Intern - Network Security

OneAccess Technologies (Pvt) Ltd is a leading and steadily expanding IT solutions provider in Sri Lanka which has been in existence since 2015. We are currently looking for a motivated intern to join our team in the capacity of a cybersecurity intern.

What You Will Do

Assist in staging, configuring, and implementing NGFW Firewalls and endpoint security solutions.
Support the implementation of new security products and participate in security solutions evaluations for internal and external customers.
Address network and endpoint security support tickets in a timely manner, providing resolutions through troubleshooting or escalating as needed.
Assist in project engineers with their project deployments.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management, which may include new product testing, quality assurance, hardware testing, and documentation.
Visit client sites to extend the technical support.

Core Requirements

· Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
· Basic knowledge of firewall administration and engineering, with exposure to firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortigate, CheckPoint, and Sophos.
· Familiarity with security tools such as antivirus software, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), vulnerability scanners, and log analysis tools.
· Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
· Strong verbal and written communication skills for conveying security-related information and collaborating with team members.
